Douglas McOmie began in the insurance industry in 2007 working as the Regional Manager for a national Insurance firm. It was there Douglas discovered his passion for insurance and for helping companies achieve greatness through security & protection.  In 2008 Douglas opened the Western Regional office for this insurance firm where he managed a team of individuals who helped grow the company into a nationally recognized insurance organization.  In 2014, Douglas made the leap of faith and opened his own insurance firm.  Shield National was built from the ground up to better serve business with all their insurance needs. Douglas earned a degree in Business from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and is also a certified Workers Compensation Professional from the Institute of Workers Compensation Professionals.
